Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area


What is DORA?

A Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) allows patrons 21 years and older to purchase alcoholic beverages from permitted locations and carry them outside to be consumed with the DORA boundaries. Customers will receive their drink in a plastic cup stamped with the official DORA sticker.

With DORA, Downtown Green Bay, Inc., in partnership with the City of Green Bay, aims to enhance community connectivity and vibrant public spaces while fostering responsible enjoyment of outdoor leisure and driving foot traffic to local businesses.


Hours

May - October | Thursday - Sunday | 11 AM - 10 PM


How to DORA

  1. ORDER your beverage in a plastic to-go cup with a DORA sticker from a participating establishment. No glass allowed. 
  2. DRINK your beverage within the DORA boundaries during operating hours. You may not exit DORA boundaries with your drink. Do not share your drink with persons under 21.
  3. ENJOY the outdoors in Downtown Green Bay. You must dispose of your drink before entering a new establishment.

This is available to current Class B or Class C license holders, and to new businesses seeking a Class B or Class C liquor license.
