Workshop Description
AN EXPLORATION OF ABSTRACTION MOVING TOWARD REALISM
This class will provide a new artist with an experience to explore painting as an expression of creativity and visual art! Explore a series of fun and creative methods using acrylic paint with various tools on several different surfaces. A strong study of color theory and composition will provide the thread to successful pieces of artwork. Learn how to create artworks that use abstract techniques from real images. A non-intimidating way to advance your painting techniques, giving a strong foundation and confidence to advance into many painting styles.

Workshop supplies ARE included with the registration fee.

Instructor Biography
My professional history is rooted in design. Beginning with a BFA in Design, I spent the first part of my career in Graphic Design. Later, I chose to teach while developing my studio work, which led to my decision to earn a Master of Arts Degree in Visual Studies. At present, I teach various Studio Art courses in the Green Bay/Fox Valley area. Currently, my studio is based in Green Bay WI, where I strive to produce an ongoing variety of original and commission works. My current collection of work can be viewed at: bluedoorartworks.com
