TUTOR TRAINING - June 20,22,27,29 from 9:00 - 10:10 AM
Volunteer tutors are required to successfully complete our tutor training workshop. This workshop teaches tutors how best to work one-on-one with adult learners who are seeking help to improve their basic reading, writing, or math skills and/or to learn the English language.
The training consists of four 90-minute in-person sessions and additional self-paced instruction totaling twelve hours of instruction. The training is designed to thoroughly prepare you for your work with
tutoring an adult learner.
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!
BLENDED INSTRUCTION
The workshop consists of both on-line and in person instruction. Prior to each in-person session, participants are required to watch a set of videos. These videos prepare the participants for the discussion and more in-depth dive into the content presented in the videos.
