The historic Tarlton Theatre and The Weidner Downtown present The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) on the city's biggest original movie screen, accompanied by a composed string quartet score by Michelle McQuade-Dewhirst and performed by Michelle McQuade-Dewhirst, Luis Fernandez, Taylor Giorgio, Michael Hall, and Michael Dewhirst.
Sometimes called the first horror movie, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) presents a visually distorted world full of fear and dread as a string of murders is committed. Is a mysterious sleepwalker to blame? Or is he being brainwashed and controlled by the sinister Dr. Caligari?
