Workshop Description
Working Creatively Through Grief class is a creative outlet for anyone in the community who is dealing with any form of loss- the loss of a loved one, loss of a job, or any genernal grief. You do not need to be an artist to be able to communicate your thoughts and emotions. Using the materials we will provide can help facilitate what words cannot describe. The art- making process will provide insight, allowing you to grow and connect with others, helping throughout the healing journey. We will focus on words and thoughts of gratitude, offering thanks to those helping us through current or past grievances.
Workshop supplies ARE included with the registration fee.
Instructor Biography
I believe art is a part of everyone's life. The more you learn about art, through art history, aesthetics, criticism, and art-making, the more you can understand and enjoy it. I graduated in 1987 from UW-Milwaukee, receiving a Bachelor's in Fine Arts with a teaching certification. I have taught in several Green Bay Schools and was the Regional Vice President of the Wisconsin Art Education Association, and the Youth Art Month Co-Chair. I am currently teaching at the Rahr West Art Museum as well as The Art Garage.
