Earth Day needs a proper celebration now more than ever! To ensure our downtown community stays clean while complying with safe social distancing practices, we have adjusted our annual spring cleanup from one day to a full week. We encourage you to come out any time throughout the week of April 19 - 25 and help us clean up the districts so they will be ready to go when we are able to gather together again! We will post maps of our districts to show areas to focus on.

Since we are not able to gather together for this event, we encourage you to bring your own trash bags, gloves, and items to pick up litter. Do not pick up litter with bare hands and please maintain proper social distancing while you stroll amongst the districts. We have partnered with some of our community partners to use their dumpsters. You may deposit your garbage and recycling at Captain's Walk Winery (if full, leave next to dumpster), garbage bags at 300 N. Van Buren St. (a residential trash cart), or at home when you are finished.

We are also trying out a new app called Litterati during this Spring Trash Bash. All you have to do is upload pictures of the litter you are picking up and the app will digitally track the location, providing our team with valuable data! You can download the app here: https://www.litterati.org/

Thank you for helping us deliver clean downtown districts to our community, share your photos at #DowntownGBDelivers!
