The Neville Public Museum is proud to bring UW-GB professor Zack Kruse back to the museum for its 4th season of the horror film series “Nightmares at the Neville.” Nightmares at the Neville showcases three classic horror films with discussions led by Kruse, who is a scholar of comics, film, and American literature.
Popcorn and soda will be available for purchase prior to each film’s showing. (cash only for popcorn)
Theatre doors open at 5:30pm.
Theatre of Blood (1973)
Enjoy a darkly comedic Vincent Price classic that brings Shakespearean drama to life in unexpected ways. Price stars as Edward Lionheart, a celebrated Shakespearean actor who seeks revenge on the theatre critics who dismissed his work. With the help of his devoted daughter, Lionheart begins targeting the critics one by one, staging elaborate acts of revenge inspired by the gruesome deaths found in Shakespeare’s plays.
Directed by Douglas Hickox and co-starring Diana Rigg, Theatre of Blood blends horror, comedy, and Shakespearean theatrics into a delightfully macabre cult classic.
