Grassroots in the Garden is a series of free educational workshops open to the public where you can learn gardening from an experienced mentor and get hands-on practice.

Using medicinal plants may sound daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. There’s a great opportunity to learn all about them for free at the Seymour Park Food Forest on July 21st from 5:30 to 7:30. Grassroots mentor Crystal Brown will be presenting on the medicinal plants in that can be found in the food forest and the best ways to use them. She’ll also be covering how to best care for plants during the hot summer.
