A collection of 47 paintings by Green Bay artist Beau Thomas, Lockdown explores themes of graffiti culture, religion and abstract color. The imagery in the paintings ranges from cemetery angels and stained glass, to a mugshot and spray can over the moon. Abstract works feature layering and collaging of graffiti to create a colorful, chaotic and complex aesthetic. Though varied in their content, the paintings are united by their bright color and energetic marks.
