Workshop Description
For the beginner, get familiar with various drawing tools, learn the importance of value and shading techniques, and most importantly learn to see what you draw! Scale, perspective, value, and creating visual interest are the building blocks to becoming comfortable with sketching and drawing. This will be a sketchbook based workshop aimed at helping a painter better see and sketch before painting! You will be able to take your sketchbook anywhere to record your visual experiences and references for painting. All done in a fun and non intimating environment of course!

Workshop supplies are NOT included with the registration fee. Students are REQUIRED to bring the following:

6 Pencil Set - This set includes one each of 8B, 6B, 4B, 2B, HB and 2H
Kneaded Rubber Eraser
Sketchbook, 9x12"
Black Fine Sharpie Pen
Instructor Biography
My professional history is rooted in design. Beginning with a BFA in Design, I spent the first part of my career in Graphic Design. Later, I chose to teach while developing my studio work, which led to my decision to earn a Master of Arts Degree in Visual Studies. At present, I teach various Studio Art courses in the Green Bay/Fox Valley area. Currently, my studio is based in Green Bay WI, where I strive to produce an ongoing variety of original and commission works. My current collection of work can be viewed at: bluedoorartworks.com
