Moderator Biography
Growing up in Washington, D.C., I was fortunate to have been exposed to the arts at a young age in my community. This influenced my decisions to pursue an education at the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences and the Glasgow School of Art, where I majored in Fine Arts and Anthropology, graduating with high honors. Subsequently, I studied figurative drawing in Philadelphia, and was a guest artist in Umbria, Italy, for two consecutive years. These experiences informed both my artistic works and inspired me to become an art instructor. During my career as an artist, I have had my work featured at various group shows and solo exhibitions in New York City, Washington D.C., as well as internationally at Florence and Assisi (Italy). I’m currently represented by the Artspace 109 and I have a studio in the Art Garage in Green Bay, Wisconsin. My skills include over a decade of indoor and outdoor art classes, both in person and virtually, having taught remotely during 2020 and 2021, continuing to fill courses with returning students. My most recent teaching experiences include Art Students League of Denver in Denver, Colorado and Flathead Community College in Kalispell, Montana.
