Grassroots in the Garden is a series of free educational workshops open to the public where you can learn gardening from an experienced mentor, get hands-on practice, and help care for the Seymour Park Food Forest which provides free, nutritious food to our local community here in Brown County. To join all you need to do is visit the New Leaf Foods website and sign up which you can do with this link: https://www.newleaffoods.org/grassroots-in-the-garden

In this session, you'll help cleanup and prepare the Seymour Park Food forest for the start of the growing season. We'll also be planting blueberries and learning how to start off their growth strong. This kind of maintenance is important for the plants, but your hard work wont go unrewarded as you'll get some coffee and other treats for your efforts.
