Artist Statement:
This mural’s focus is local food inspired by the fresh produce found at the Farmer's Market on Broadway. The sunflowers and vegetables frame the female face like a natural headdress, and the leafy strands fly like hair. As the mural progresses down the wall it is meant to push photorealism and change styles. The butterflies are a tribute to their invaluable part of the food cycle. They add a unique sense of dimension and interactivity for people passing by as their wings hover over the wall's surface.
