Artist Statement:
Titled Morty the Moose by the artist, Matt Bero, a mural is illustrated alongside of a building depicting a large-scaled composition featuring wildlife imagery such as several trees and a moose. Through the graphically styled illustration, wide and vibrant color scheme, and familiar imagery, the mural attracts the attention of people, as well as projects a sense of friendliness.

"I start where everything starts, a sketch. I wanted to create a piece that was unique to the location and also in context. This was a way for me to creatively contribute to the community I love and live in. Morty is a vibrant character, bringing life and energy into an otherwise blank wall. Nature is something that is often under-appreciated. It's far too easy to get sucked into our phones and endlessly scroll, so Morty is here to remind you to look up! This piece was a big endeavor and a new expedition for me as an artist. Morty is a reminder to enjoy where you are and what's happening around you.
