The Exclusive Company landed in the Broadway District in 1985, and has since blossomed into the successful record store that it is today. Known as "America's oldest full-line independent record store" established in 1956, the Exclusive Company has something for everyone.
Manager, Tom Smith, has decades worth of knowledge about the industry. His experience goes back before he started working at The Exclusive Company in 1988, just three years after it opened in Green Bay. He started off a general worker, but it didn't take him long to land an assistant-manger position. After about 7 years of working there, he became manager. Tom says purchasing interests him the most.
Tom and his employees pay attention to what customers want, and the things customers say influences what they put on their shelves. Tom says one of the coolest things about The Exclusive Company is that the make-up of the store reflects the taste of both employees and customers.
