Cosmic Remnants solo exhibition features over 30 exclusive paintings by Curtis Judd, the first personal introspective to showcase his inner world and cosmos. Conjuring influences including Surrealism, Expressionism and Cosmology, Judd seeks to un-blur the clutter of digital photography and sharpen attention on the abstract universe. Judd invokes his signature pallet born of a supernova explosion to achieve this. Cosmic Remnants provides an insider’s glimpse into one serious emerging artist.
Curtis Judd works in abstraction as a tool to amplify the intimacy he finds plentiful in nature, but rarely in people. Judd's works are overtly expressive and vibrant, a metaphoric kneel to the few subjects he considers sacred. Judd believes we are not alone in the universe…and painting is his adolescent yawp.
People ask about Judd's pedigree...where did he study art? Judd started painting at 14 but could never afford art school. His skills are learned, hardscrabble…dug out of the ground.
