Have you ever wondered what makes Wisconsin’s geology special? We will tour Wisconsin’s geological history, which includes 2-billion-year-old mountain belts, 1-billion-year-old continental rifting, 400–500-million-year-old tropical seas, and 2 million years of glaciation. Dr. John Luczaj is Chair of the Geoscience and Water Science disciplines in the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences at UW-Green Bay. Prof. Luczaj holds a B.S. in Geology from UW-Oshkosh, an M.S. in Geology from the University of Kansas and a Ph.D. in Geology from Johns Hopkins University. He has been a faculty member at UW-Green Bay since 2005.
