Details
"Warm Up to the Mic" features a LIVE podcast recording with hosts, their chosen guests, and a topic that highlights their podcast content. Listen as guests are interviewed, then consider how you might contribute to the conversation. This event is all about giving you the opportunity to say what you want to say, providing a platform for varying perspectives and points of view we simply don't have.
The event also features homemade soup, meant to "warm you up" as you contemplate stepping up to the mic with your perspective and insight. What kind of soup? Eh, we leave that up to whoever is cooking it. BUT we can promise it's tasty, and its a fun addition to hanging out in the studio. There will be art on the walls as always, records to be spun when the podcast isn't recording, and great people to meet while you're there in this completely chill environment.
Come and go as you like, you don't have to stay the entire duration. However, this month we have 3 rounds of guests and relevant conversation around local arts and culture that we think you're gonna want to stay for.
Bear Witness Podcast is your host for this edition of Warm Up to the Mic. A partnership podcast of two artists, their guests and topics for the night include the following:
6:00pm- Doors Open
6:30pm- Scott Hill, "Spirituality in Art"
7:15pm- Iliana Herrera-Flores and Steph Guzman, "Creating a Culturally Fluid Art Community"
8:00pm- Terri Warpinski and David Graham, "Partnerships in Art"
