SAGE and the Brown County Library are excited to bring our community the First Annual Green Bay Zine Spectacular!
What is a zine? For the creator, it's literally anything you want it to be, but for the viewer, a zine is a self-published, unique work, in booklet form, composed of original content. A zine can be a collection of photos, poetry, illustrations, opinion, short story...you name it. At the Zine Spectacular, you'll find zines with fancy binding, zines folded from a single sheet of paper, and zines made from a variety of printing techniques. The possibilities are endless when it comes to zines; you're sure to find something you love.
While you're at the Zine Spectacular, try your hand at creating your own zine! We'll have stations set up with paper and supplies, as well as volunteers on hand to show you folding techniques and fun nuances. There will also be a station for paper collage and button making, just because in the world of zines, there's no such thing as too much self-expression.
