Debra started reading at the age of four and hasn’t stopped since. She grew up on a small dairy farm in Wisconsin but now lives in the suburbs of Northern Virginia with her husband, three sons, and two cats. Debra is the author of Freaky, Funky Fish, Peculiar Primates, and Tell Someone. When she isn’t reading or writing, she enjoys hiking, gardening, and watching Jeopardy.

About Freaky Funky Fish
From zapping, stinging, even singing, to playing dead or a see-through head, fish do some freaky, funky things to survive in the waters they live in.

About Peculiar Primates
From funny faces to colored butts and flossing teeth to thumping chests, this follow-up to Freaky, Funky Fish highlights some peculiar ways primates look and act to survive in the world they live in.

About Tell Someone
A picture book affirming the power of talking about your feelings with others, even when it’s scary to do so: from sadness over a missing pet to feeling brave enough to take that big step.
