Drop in for fun and educational activities for all ages and be among the first to get seeds from the new Brown County Seed Library! The Seed Library is a curated collection of seed packets - mostly fruits and vegetables - that will be available free at the library for local households to plant in their own gardens.
Featuring hands-on activities including harvesting seeds from dried seed heads and planting seeds in paper cores to take home; local experts share tips on seed starting and saving, “best bet” veggie varieties, local gardening resources and more; and kids can meet Mother Nature, create seed art, enjoy stories and fold paper “helicopter seeds” to launch from the library balcony
Presented by: Brown County Community Gardens Program, Brown County Library, Green Bay Botanical Garden, New Leaf Foods, Inc., Northeastern Wisconsin Master Gardeners, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and UW-Madison Extension Brown County.
