Workshop Description
Good design is a good idea. This three-week intensive is an overview of the graphic design profession. Students will become familiar with the fundamental concepts and applications of design. This course will give you examples and demonstrations, giving you a foundation to create inspired, functional design.

Workshop supplies are NOT included with the registration fee. Students are REQUIRED to have a computer with Adobe Illustrator CC Installed.

Instructor Biography
Cailey Birchem is a MFA candidate at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD). She’s a proud graduate of Bemidji State’s School of Technology, Art, and Design with triple emphasis in Graphic Design, Exhibit Design, and Studio Arts, as well as an alumni of Alexandria Technical College’s Communication Art and Design program. Her work has won numerous awards from the American Advertising Federation, MCAD, and ExhibitorLIVE Media Group. Currently, Cailey works for X-FCTR, a design agency based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as well as maintaining her own freelance company.
